BACK TO SCHOOL & FALL KIDS BOOKS

I love to style my boys' bookshelves and admittedly it's for my personal enjoyment more than it is for theirs. Sure, they are super excited when they see how I initially set it up and they even get excited about old books they had forgotten about. But it all gets jumbled pretty quickly and they move on. I haven't put much effort into their bookshelves since we moved out of our colonial over a year ago because my youngest was in a "rip all the pages out" stage. He seems to have grown out of that so I ordered a few new books and am going to have fun styling their shelves when they arrive.

Here are a bunch of fun books for back to school and fall (which, by the way, doesn't start until September 22nd - holding on to summer pretty tightly over here). Many of these we already own and four of them I'm waiting to be delivered this week. I'll share some photos of our bookshelves once I have them all set up!

S is for School* | We have and love many books from Greg Paprocki. His illustrations are so fun and the boys love to point out everything they see in each picture. I bought this one last summer to prepare Tucker for his first year of preschool.

Tomorrow I'll Be Brave* | I have followed Jessica Hische and her work for years but haven't paid close enough attention because she's written not one, but two books. She is extremely talented and I'm a big fan of her work. I ordered both for the boys and I'm excited for them to come in.

Time For School, Little Blue Truck* | We are big fans of the Little Blue Truck around here. We have many of the books and this is another I ordered to add to our collection. The boys were so excited when I told them it will be here in a couple of days.

One Leaf, Two Leaves, Count With Me* | This is actually a book we got from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. (Isn't Dolly the best?) It's a quick read and has been great to help Tucker with his counting.

You're My Little Pumpkin Pie* | This one is so cute and has adorable illustrations. My boys are big fans of the see through pages and it's one we read over and over.

Hello, Fall!* | This is the third new book I ordered and I can't wait for it to arrive. The illustrations look darling and I'm excited to add it to our collection!

Autumn in the Forest* | This is the last new book I ordered for this fall and I know the boys are going to love it. They have so much fun with the lift-a-flap books and pretend its a surprise every time we read the book.

National Parks of the U.S.A.* | I have had this book in my cart for over a year now. I want to get it so bad but I just don't think the boys are ready for it. I'd be disappointed if it got torn up so I'm holding off for now but if you have older kids I think this looks like such a great book with fun illustrations. Especially if your family enjoys the outdoors and visiting National Parks.

Tomorrow I'll Be Kind* | This is the newest book written and illustrated by Jessica Hische and one I ordered for the boys. I love the message and of course, the illustrations are incredible.

Apple Cake: A Gratitude* | I really wanted to order this one because I love the message of gratitude and the illustrations are so whimsical but I had to stop myself somewhere. Buying books really adds up but I'm definitely keeping this one on my list for the future.

Little Acorn* | I bought this one last year through my son's preschool. They only had the paperback available but I see there's also a board book version (which I would have preferred). There are more books in the series that I hope to add to our collection down the road.

The Roll Away Pumpkin* | I absolutely loved the illustrations on this one and the story sounds super cute. Keeping this one on the list for next year.

I've added a few more to my list that you can see here, and I'll continue to add to it as I discover new titles.

Do you switch out your kiddos books with the seasons? What are some of your favorite books for fall? I'd love to hear below in the comments. :)
