A VERY MERRY FIRST CHRISTMAS IN OUR HOME

I can't believe on the 30th we will have been in our home an entire year. I have had so much fun decorating this house and making it our home. I absolutely could not wait to decorate for Christmas this year since last year we were still living in the rental house and I only put up one, tiny tree. I had missed all of our decorations so much. Sharing online is such a creative outlet for me and I'm thankful to have a space to share bits and pieces of our lives. I hope you enjoy seeing our home at Christmas.

Jeremy did such an amazing job on our outside lights. Pictures just don't do it justice.

I love our new address markers. I've been wanting them for almost a year now (we have our address marked in another location as well as the mailbox so these were basically for cosmetic reasons) and I love it just as much as I thought I would!

My grandma gave me this wooden Rudolph this year and I love him so much. We had one at our house too growing up so it brings back all kinds of Christmas memories for me.

I bought this wreath about four years ago and I still love it so much. It didn't come with a bow or ribbon so I add my own each year.

When we were packing up to move last year we decided to give our Christmas tree away. It was one we had bought from a lady on Facebook Marketplace and it was a great tree for us but we (I) was ready to move on. Jeremy got this one from Costco for me and I'm embarrassed to say, it brought me to tears when I saw it for the first time. It was so beautiful and I just can't believe its ours. I'm sure that probably sounds silly but I am so, so grateful!

I love taking our ornaments out each year. This year when I took that little salt dough hand ornament out, I started crying. I just can't get over how tiny Tucker's hand used to be. I love all the memories attached to the ones my mama collected for me through the years and now the ones I'm collecting for my boys.

Jeremy recently built these built-ins for us and I could not love them more. I'm so proud of how amazing he did. I'm still tweaking the shelf styling - it needs some work - but I love having a place to display family photos and mementos.

This is one of my favorite photos from our wedding. It's my grandparents dancing that evening and I have one of Jeremy and I dancing framed above it. I love the way the lights from the tree are reflecting off it. Their marriage is such an inspiration to me and I pray Jeremy and I are dancing at our grandchild's wedding one day.

This is the tree in our bedroom. I have some garland above our bed as well but honestly, this room is rarely clean enough to snap a photo. If I get around to it I'll add it to this post. I love the coziness of the twinkle lights while we're relaxing at night. The remote to the candle lights didn't get packed away with everything else (two years ago). A few months back I saw it and put it somewhere so when Christmas came around I'd know where it was... I have yet to come across it.

This is the tree in the boys room. They have some festive star pillows as well but I haven't taken a photo yet. (I'm also just realizing I haven't taken any photos of their playroom and it's quite adorable with a few holiday items I've got in there.) Decorating the boys spaces is so fun for me. I love the way they light up when they see what I've done.

Thank you for indulging me and taking this virtual home Christmas tour. 🤍 If I happen to snap any more photos from around here I'll add them to the post. I'm also working on linking whatever I'm able to but if there's something you have a question about just let me know in the comments.
